“Mansoor and Kiran are working on the script with Aamir. Mom will, of course, be a sounding board. We always run ideas by her and get feedback,” says Imran. Interestingly, Aamir has, in the past, written Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (’93). This will mark his return to the craft after more than a decade. Mansoor, too, will make a comeback to the big screen after a long, self-imposed exile from Bollywood, which he broke only to produce nephew Imran’s debut film, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, in 2008. He has also directed hits such as Qayamat Se... Jo Jeeta... Akele Hum Akele Tum (’95) and Josh (2000).

Apparently, Aamir went all out to convince Mansoor to write a film story for him, convincing him to take up direction again for the former’s production house. Ask Imran about the storyline and he feigns ignorance: “Honestly, I don’t know what they are working on. But that’s how we work in our family.
Of course, things are at a nascent stage but the story is believed to be a mainstream one, unlike Kiran’s directorial debut venture, Dhobi Ghat. In all probability, Aamir will star in the film too. If the script gets locked in the next five-six months, he plans to start work on the film after he wraps up Yash Raj Films’ Dhoom 3 next year.

Anurag Kashyap drops Aamir from next

Director Anurag Kashyap, who had delayed his dream project for a year to have Aamir on board, has now decided to make the film without him. Previously, Kashyap had declared that he will not make the film, if Aamir wasn't a part of the star cast, but now he feels that he has waited long enough for the superstar.
The director dejectedly revealed to Mid Day, "I am going ahead with Bombay Velvet without Aamir. He is a very busy man and I have waited long enough. I don't even know if he wants to do the film."
Bombay Velvet, touted as Kashyap's most ambitious and expensive film till date, was supposed to have Aamir as its strong selling point, but for now only John Abraham, Naseeruddin Shah and Kay Kay Menon have been confirmed as part of the project.
Based on Gyan Prakash's book Mumbai Fables, Bombay Velvet is set in the Bombay of 60s.
Talking about the project the director said, "There is every chance that the audience would see the queen's necklace with an absolutely clear skyline, minus all the skyscrapers."
The film, will go on the floors in 2012.

Post Delhi Belly, singer Keerthi Sagathia who sang the popular ‘Switty switty…’ and ‘I hate you (like I love you)…’ that featured Aamir Khan in a new avatar, is a huge hit on city campus circuit. The singer has been roped in to perform at three college festivals. Keerthi says, “I recently performed at Polaris, the BMM festival at Wilson College and a***ated to perform in August at Umang, the NM College fest. The youth love the songs, so singing live for them is a great high.”

Keerthi has also been invited to judge a music event at Xavier’s annual festival, Malhar, where he may been seen sing too. Son of Gujarati folk singer Karsan Sagathia, Keerthi rose to fame when AR Rahman picked him to croon ‘Mayya mayya…’ for Guru (2007). Then came ‘Beera beera…’ for Raavan (2010) and ‘Boom boom roboda…’ for Robot (2010). The singer has also worked with other top music directors like Ram Sampath, Pritam, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal-Shekhar, Sandesh Shandilya, and Aadesh Shrivastava. “I also like to sing folk and sufi songs,” says Keerthi, who has sung more than 100 jingles.” His recent album, Arrk, sees him lend vocals for five sufi rock songs.
Previously, the young artiste had collaborated with jazz maestro John McLaughlin for Ranjit Barot’s album, Bada Boom. Next up, the singer will be heard in Ketan Mehta’s biopic on painter Raja Ravi Varma, titled Rang Rasiya, and Nikhil Advani’s animated film Delhi Safari.

Seems Karan Johar wants to change his good boy image drastically. Johar, known for his dramatic family sagas, now wants to make a sex comedy on the lines of Delhi Belly.
"I'd love to make a film like Delhi Belly. It's awesome," Johar told Mumbai Mirror.
Interestingly, making a movie so far removed from his prim and proper filmmaking sensibilities, Karan wants Aamir Khan to help him with the venture.
"I can only do a raunchy comedy if Aamir Khan helps me. I don't think I can pull it off on my own," Karan told the tabloid.
Karan admitted that he lacks the confidence to make a sex comedy and wants Aamir's "backing" to make the film.
The filmmaker is willing to wait for Aamir. "All the edgy humour, language, sex jokes... nowhere did I feel uncomfortable watching Delhi Belly. I've felt far more uncomfortable in other so-called comedies. I fell off my chair with laughter," said Karan.

Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly has taken the box office by storm. And now, the film is set to hit the small screen in a new avatar. Delhi Belly is being redone into a separate version with fresh editing and prints, crafted especially for the TV audiences. “Besides redubbing a lot of parts, we are also rewriting certain sequences and jokes from the original. There’s a considerable amount of work. It feels like I’m making it all over again,” laughs the director, Abhinay Deo.
Delhi Belly’s fresh version will be sans any gaalis (bad language) but will retain the basic humour and punch of the original. And Aamir has entrusted director Abhinay with the responsibility of getting this new version out. The superstar is content with the new version. “Akshat (Verma) and Abhinay have rewritten the dialogues of Delhi Belly’s fresh version and the humour is working extremely well. I’m sure it will bring in new audiences for the film,” says Aamir.
