这是这首歌曲的原版，发行于1967年。这个版本当时并非成功之作。作曲为法国的Andre Popp，由希腊裔歌手Vicky Leandros演唱。这个版本编曲略为单薄。

Paul Mauriat的改编版。Paul Mauriat正因为本曲而一举成名。之后几乎在每场音乐会、每张精选辑上他都要加上本曲，甚至不止一遍。Love is Blue因为保罗而名扬天下，也成了保罗的招牌菜。

窃以为贝多芬第七交响曲第二乐章是欢乐颂的伏笔和铺垫，两者有着很大的相似之处，譬如优美歌唱般的旋律。然而前者的知名度远低于后者。Sarah Brightman的这首绝妙的翻唱真不知道贝多芬的在地之灵听了会作何感想……
