Thank you for taking action to help protect red wolves
Thank you for speaking out on behalf of red wolves. Red wolves were once officially declared extinct in the wild by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; however after years of hard work, a small group of captive red wolves was reintroduced into the eastern part of North Carolina.
Today there are only about 100 of these rare wolves left in the world, and allowing the hunting of coyotes in an area where the only population of such a small and vulnerable population exists is unnecessary and a threat to the conservation of red wolves.
