AV1 I MISSED YOU SO MUCH GYENDAL GET OUT OF MY FREAKING HEAD FOR ONE SECOND AND LET ME DEAL WITH AGAS AND THE OTHERS!!!
Suprise! I can paint Dameon. Now you know what my version of Dameon looks like. This is a speedpaint that is not speedy, because I worked on this between homeworks and other tasks so it took longer than I normally would >_< It's, what, a 2-weeks' worth of work? I can normally finish something like this in a DAY.
So what could this picture be all about? Well, a summary of who Agas is in my Aveyond crack alternate timeline, of course. He's not-quite-Dameon-the-second. And that non-explanation makes no sense
History rant time!
Okay, okay, so back in the day when Agas is still the derpy blond guy from my avvie, Agas/Rhen is really crack in the crackiest of PWP crack sense. And their dynamics is pretty much:
Agas: I LOVE YOU
Rhen: AAAAAAAAHH!! GET OFF YOU CREEP!!
So it hit me one day that I want to make their relationship to be oh so serious business. Because Dameon's situation would have been interesting had it been executed well, I decided that to make Agas be "a second Dameon". Basically he sort of steals Dameon's role, plus all sorts of other nonsense that I added in as I go.
I mean, look at the situation:
1) Among the daevas, Agas seems to be the only one who hears Indra's fortune telling that Rhen must not be killed. Unless the others were just being dumb (because even INDRA herself tries to kill everyone in the group), I assume none of them knows that they can't kill the Chosen One or else doom will befall them. Which makes me wonder where the portal to Demon Realm is, since Indra had time to make a very long-winded fortune-telling before the others arrive.
2) Agas is the only one to ever indicate any resentment towards Dameon. Nobody else seemed to care that the freaking Sun Guardian is on the Dark Side without any proper explanation. Also, the other daevas don't question Dameon being in the party. If they don't know about Indra's fortune-telling, wouldn't they react like Agas did? Being all, "Hey, whose side are you on?" If they DO know about the prophecy, well, they wouldn't have attacked to begin with.
3) Agas lurks in DREAMLAND. And Aveyond 2 canon shows us that you can drag people into Dreamland via their dreams and cart them away (Iya kidnapped by Snow Queen, yo). Wouldn't it be funny if Agas finds out about this and tries to do Dameon's job of luring Rhen over to the Dark Side? After all, so long as Rhen is made to join the Dark Side, it doesn't matter who is doing the seduction/persuasion/luring.
And then somewhere along the lines, more random junk gets thrown in, and I sort of forgot about this concept. Agas turned into an innocent woobie who didn't even know Rhen is the Chosen One and, and then their relationship is almost genuine - as genuine as what is technically "virtual dating" (via dreams) could be. But the idea is still there subconsciously, and Agas and Dameon end up sharing quite a few common traits. While still being completely different. Hence the title.
Dameon's pointy ear is not an art mistake or a stylistic approach. That is all.
Oh... yeah... and that sun symbol on Agas' armour is indeed a sun, because the designer and the commissioner of the armour have very odd sense of humour.
And Dameon's mysterious dad is somehow super important in this situation because he and Agas' even more mysterious dad are friends... sort of.
And so on and so forth.
