Eminem, Kim Mathers Have "Great Relationship" as Parents; Not Reconciled
Could the rumors be true? Are Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Mathers on the road to reconciliation?
"They really have a great relationship now as parents," a source tells Us Weekly of the "Monster" rapper, 41, and Kim, 38; along with their daughter Hailie, 17, Eminem is raising Mathers' niece Alaina, and Whitney, her other daughter from another relationship.
"They aren't back together yet -- per se -- but anything could happen and they are together all the time for the sake of the kids," the source adds. Kim's mother Kathy Sluck told RadarOnline earlier this week that her daughter and former son-in-law "might [get back together soon], they get on better than ever."
Eminem met Kim when they were teenagers. The couple had a rocky relationship riddled with infidelities and drug use: The on-and-off again pair married and divorced two times, and Eminem chronicled the romance in sometimes angry, violent songs like 1997's "Bonnie & Clyde," 2000's "Kim" (for which Mathers sued him for defamation), and his 2002 hit singles, "Hailie's Song" and "'Till I Collapse."
"Despite everything Em has been through with addictions, he's always always been an amazing father, and always had a place in his heart for Kim because of their history and the kids," the source explains. Both parents watched Hailie win Homecoming Queen of her high school in Clinton Township, Mich. on Oct. 4. "Now that they've both gotten older and sober they both are way more mature," the source adds.
