Love, Pain and Vice Versa
Our first news for the new year?! Hope you’ve all been keeping busy? If not, perhaps pop by our suckerlove_ community to keep yourself occupied. Things have been quiet while Stef and Brian re-group. According to Stef the lads have been in the studio and played around with a few songs, but are still without a drummer.
Meanwhile, Placebo will join Mexican cinema by lending two songs to the soundtrack of the upcoming movie “Amor, Dolor Y Vice Versa” (’Love, Pain & Vice Versa)
Their song ‘I Know’, with new arrangements, will be heard during the credits of the movie.
“I went to England to meet them, showed them the third cut of the film and when we were talking about it they made me listen the song, a new version, and I thought it was fantastic,” said the director Alfonso Pineda.
Placebo’s participation came to happen when Lynn Fainchtein, music supervisor of the film, sent the script to the band.
“I’ve had a good relationship with them since a few years ago. When 21 Grams (a film by Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu, in which she worked) was released they contacted me saying they wanted to do things for a film but they haven’t found the right one”
The other old classic being featured in the film is Without You I’m Nothing featuring David Bowie.
Also, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all our March babies Steve, Stefan and Bill!
