How to Make "Glue Pudding"
Glue pudding is a traditional Chinese food,it is a round,sticky and sweet treat.In China we eat it at January 15th(Chinese calendar).It represents family reunion.
-----Ingredients-----
Glutinous rice flour: 200g
Peanut: 100g
Walnut: 30g
Lard: --right amount,as you like
Brown sugar: --right amount, as you like
White sesame seed: 30g
Some orange peels
-----Start-----
(For the wrapper)
Put the glutinous powder into a bowl,then add hot water bit by bit. Roll it carefully until it is enough sticky.
(For the stuffing)
1. Heat up the peanuts and walnuts for 2 min. Then peel of the skin.
2. Chop the peanuts and walnuts.
3. Stir-fry the sesame util done.
4. Put the peanuts and walnuts in a bowl, then add lard and brown sugar, ass much as you want. Be careful to not add to much.
5. Stir it.
As all is done,take the suitable size of dough, roll it until it is like a ball, then hollowed out,and add the stuffing in it. Be careful to not put to much.
Now your glue pudding is almost done! Take all the glue puddings you have made,throw them all in boiled water. Gently shake/turn the pot, use small to medium fire to boil it. Boil for 7-8 min. You could add orange peels in the soup, it will taste better!
At last, you could enjoy it(^O^)
-----Matters needing attention-----
*Do not put to much lard or brown sugar, it will be to greasy, lard was wet all stuffing is advisable.
*The wrapper needs to be rubbed hardly until smooth.
*Do not stir the pot!
*The glue pudding might be destroyed, so don't boil to long, or make the rapper to thin.
*The soup is drinkable to!
