I’d like to share my learning experience in bicycle with you all.
When I was in primary school,I had already learned how to ride a bicycle in a straight line.However, I always failed to turn my bicycle in the streets,cause I was afraid of losing the balance and falling from the bicycle.At this time, my father took me to the streets and required me to practice turning the bicycle.As usual, I could not hold balance and fell down to the ground.It really hurt my knees, so I cried out loudly as every little girl did.Instead of coming near and comforting me like other fathers,my dad just sat by the street and stared at me in silence.Realizing that he would not offer me help at all,I wept my tears and stood up to pull up my bicycle and continue practicing turning.
It was a period of hard days for me to learn it all on my own,especially when I was at such an early age.I used to doubt that whether my father loved me on not, for he seldom offered my help when I need assistance.But as I grew older, I came to realize that what he wanted to teach me is that one can never count on others totally.When we are in emergency and lack assistance, the closest friends or relatives may fail to help us,all what we can do is to stimulate our potential ability to save ourselves .The belief taught me a lot when I stepped into college,I gained confidence,strength and abilities from it. I believe it is what I have learned far beyond learning bicycle itself.
