A new newspaper
In order to solve the problem we had madein the last meeting.We held the second meeting one week after the firstmeeting. We decided to publish the paper once a week. On the one hand,we haveto study so we only have time at the weekends ,but on the other hand, we shouldpublish it in time so students can keep interested in reading. And then wedecided to make the paper free to readers because by this way they will keep intouch with our paper. Next, Pansy, Millie and Tony showed their decision. Pansysaid she would be responsible for showing the popular students in the school.Millie was asked to edit the study section. In this section, she may share somegood way to study. And Tony would be responsible for sports. So they all havetheir own sections. And the last question was to name the paper. We discussedfor a long time and finally we agreed to call it the Mayfield Sun. After allthe questions being solved, we concluded the meeting

We had the next meeting today ,and we discussed that the paper would be free to readers.We are just students,we are not able to earn money ourselves.Although we usually get pocket money from our parents,it is still not enough.As a student,we almost use all of our money to buy pens,rubbers and text books.If the paper isn't free,no one will pay for it,because they need thier money to buy some more important things.So we thought that our paper was free,it will make our paper more popular in the Mayfield School.

They though the new newspaper would contain the following sections:students health、the world、schools zone and so on.Tony would be responsible for the students’ health section.the articles would show that students here are less healthy than students from many other countries.They would give advice to students about how to keep it.Millie would be responsible for the worlds’ section.It would contain several news which called News in picturesBrief news and so on.It would tell us the news that happened just now.Pansy would be responsible for the schools zones’ section.It world contain some students’ articles about their school life.Pansy also had to edit them by herself and type them to the computer.They also though the new newspaper had a price.They all agreed the price would be 1RMB,because in the new newspaper,it had a lot of good things for the students to read,so students should pay for it,so that they can enjoy the new newspaper.
The readers hope there will be interesting sections be found on the new newspaper.

We had a meeting again. At the last meeting, we hadelected Joyce to be the chief editor. I was the secretary to take notes. We hadsome questions to solve. The first question was about which section we wouldhave. We wanted to publish a newspaper, so we could have a title and a sectionof Local news, a section of World news and a section of people. Pansy tookcharge of the Local news. Everyday we should know about the stories of our cities.Tony took charge of the people. We should make our classmates know who becomesthe best known one recently. Millie took charge of the World news. When we knewthe local news, we should also know the World news to enrich our knowledge. Thesecond question was how often we published a newspaper. Every day some thingswere taking place, so I thought we should published it twice a week. The newspapershouldn’t be free to readers. It could make more people know some pieces ofnews. We called it Mayfield Mirror, because this newspaper could tell peoplethe truth, no matter it is good or bad. At the next week, we should publish thefirst newspaper. Let’s prepare these things.

There is a question that what sections the other three would take charge of.Tony wanted to be the section of food ,he said when he was freedom,he always tried to make food because he was interested in it.He told us,he wanted to changed school ' s food,makd it better than before.It was might be made oue classmates more harder in study. Pansy was enable to be a reporter to report some important things about school,because she had learned how to do that and became a reporter out school.She had experiments.Millie was good at music.She often said that music can makd people better in life .We thought
were very busy now,might be know about music were good for them.
We considerred that we didn't have many time to had a rest.So, we thought published this newspaper once a month was time enought to readers,
Finally,we called it 'Mayfiled Star' because it look liked a star on our school in the sky .I hoped that it can made our school more brightly!(徐多）

I think the new newspaper could be called the Mayfield.Sun,because sun means hope.The new newspaper will be full of youthful spirit.It should be free,because students don't have much pocket money to buy the newspaper,but they like reading!The new newspaper will be free and the students will read it more often in the classroom.Every one can read it.I hope the new newspaper will be pubilished once a week,such as YuWen newspaper.I hope the new newspaper will become better and better.

The next meeting was held.We discussed the things that we hadn't solved before.First,we discussed which sections the other three would take charge of.Tony could be the eidtor of the food section,because we needed to introduce the delicious food and he was also interested in it.Since Mlillie was good at studying,she chooseed the learning section.Pansy was keen on studtng the Psychology,so she could be responsiale for telling students how they could relieve the pressure of the study.Then,we decided to publish the nespaper once every two weeks,for we could have time to think about what to write on.We thought that readers should pay for it.We could use these money to buy some new products of study.We made a decision about the name at last.We wanted to call it Mayfield Mirror,for the reason was the mirror could tell the fact and we telled the truth.

A week later, they had the second meeting.They decided which section they would have.First, they would have a section about school news.It`s very important for students to know the new of their school.Next, they would have a section of national news.We should care with the national news.Finally,they would have a section about any problem.If anyone has any problem.He can send the matter to the editor,and the editor will answer him on the newspaper.They would publish the newspaper once a week,because they can publish the newspaper on every Monday or Friday,It should be free to readers,because the students don`t have any money to buy the newspaper.If they should pay for the newspaper there will be no readers.At last,we decided what we would call the newspaper.We chose the 'Mayfield Mirror',because we wanted the newspaper to reflect the truth.

At the second meeting, we exchanged our results about the last question at the first meeting.Then we decided to choose the Mayfield Mirror because most of us thought we should write different things about our school.Not only good news ,but also bad news should be written in our newspaper.And everyone in pur school can see the good things or the bad things .So we decided to call the newspaper Mayfield Mirror.
Then,we discussed which sections the other three would take charge of.Joyce said that the activities in our school were very wonderful.The school asked us to introduce the activities.And Pansy was an important person to organize the activities in our school.So she was familiar with them.Then we voted for her.And Pansy was elected to be the editor who took charge of the activities.
Next,I suggested electing a person to be responsibe for the exam section.It is a very necessary part in our life.We thought we could introduce some ways to relax our body and brains.It would be very helpful.Tony's mother is a psychologist.So we elected him to be responsible for it.
Then Millie advised to introduce some books to other students.It can fill our life after school.And he loves reading very much.So he took charge of it.
At last,we thought about how often we shoud publish the nespwspaper and whether it was free to readers.We made a choice to publish the newspaper once every two months because of our busy work.And we all thought the newspaper is very useful and helpful for our life .So the newspaper was chosen to be free to the readers.
After that, we started to do the tasks.

The second meeting starts. First, Pansy thinks she wants to take charge of the Local news and World news section because she often discusses politics with her father. We agree and ask for Millie. She is interested in the People section and the Letters section but Tony wants these too. I suggest Millie take charge of these and Tony take charge of the Sports section. They talk it over and agree. To the next problem, we all think we should publish the newspaper once a week. The most important reason is that we can do all the things without hurry. Our headmaster supposes the newspaper should be free because students don't have much money and their parents maybe don't allow them to pay for it. We take his advice and talk about the last question. We consider it for a long time. Then our chief editor Joyce decides to call the newspaper "Mayfield Sun" because she thinks our newspaper is just like a new sun rising up. We clap our hands and conclude the second meeting.

The second meeting began. Joyce said weneeded to decide which sections they should be responsible for. We chose threesections about the world, people and Sports. Tony first said that he would liketo choose the Sports sections, because he was so interested in Sports.
The others allagreed. Then, l suggested that Millie could edit the World sections, because lhad seen the world news she adited before. lt was really nice. Everyone then voted for her. Of course, the lastsection should be Pansy’s. And she told us she likes this very much.
After that, we needed to discuss otherquestions that l have written down. L thought we could publish it once a week.But tony said that time is a little limited and we couldn’t do the best. Joycetook Tony’s advice and asked us whether it should be freeor not. Mille said lt shoud be free. At last, Joyce suggested we can call itthe Mayfield Sun, because lt is an active name. We all agreed.
Now the meeting was concluded . We will tryour best. Please look forward to our newspaper.

Wehad the next meeting yesterday. First, we discussed which sections the otherthree would take charge of. Tong said that pansy should take charge of thesports section because he was interested is it , Millie said she could be theeditor who was responsible for news in our school. So Tony was the editor whotook charge of the daily life in our school. All of is thought the newspapershould be free because some of students don’t have enough money to buy it . Ithink it should be called Mayfield Sun .Tony did not agree with me before Itold him why we should use this name. Isaid that the sun is full of energy and light. It was better than other names.Thenhe agreed with me.So this meeting ended.It was the time for us to publish thenewspaper.I thinked it would be successful !
