SBIFF to honor Kristin Scott Thomas
Actress joins fellow honoree Penelope Cruz
Kristin Scott Thomas will receive the Cinema Vanguard Award at the 24th Santa Barbara Film Festival on Jan. 27.
Fest exec director Roger Durling singled out Thomas' perf in Phillipe Claudel's drama "I've Loved You So Long" and her Broadway debut in "The Seagull."
Thomas joins fellow honoree Penelope Cruz, who will receive the performer of the year award.
The Santa Barbara Film Festival runs Jan. 22-Feb. 1.
