This guide will show you how to fix a gcm (or iso) file that is not the usual 1.35gig to run on your gamecube. Files that are not the correct size will sometimes cause read errors or in some cases will not burn correctly.
1. Firstly download and extract Fstfix 1.5f. I have uploaded oneHEREfor your convenience.
2. After it is extracted, you will have a folder that looks like this:
3. Put a copy of the gcm (or iso) file that you want to fix in this directory.
4. Next, open a command prompt box.
For Xp users - Start, Run and type cmd and enter
For Vista users - Start, All Programs/Accessories, Command Prompt
5. Type "cd\". Your command prompt will now look like this:
6. Enter the directory where the Fstfix program is located. For those of you that are lazy (like me), simply copy the directory address from the directory bar, paste it into the command prompt box and replace the colon with a "d" and press enter.
7. For this example I am using a PAL copy of animal crossing which is only 32meg.
Type into the command line - fstfix gametitle.gcm t s f
Of course replace the "gametitle.gcm" with the EXACT name of the file you are trying to fix. In this case it was "eur-acgc.gcm". If its an iso, type in "gametitle.iso"
In this screenshot, the file being fixed is EUR-ACGC.GCM
This is how you will type in the command for fstfix to create your 1.35gig gcm or iso file.
NOTE TO Wii Users-If you want to create a "padded" iso ( an iso 3gig in size) to burn onto a normal sized DVD, simply type in "fstfix gametitle.gcm t s g" into the command prompt
Below is a list of all commands using fstfix for all those curious...
