Goran Dragic isn’t worried about his sore right knee entering the playoffs.
“I’m good. 100 percent, I’ll be good,” Dragic said Thursday.

Dragic missed Wednesday’s overtime win over the Raptors as a precaution. His knee has been bothering him for the last month due to tendinitis, and he aggravated the injury Monday when he collided with Thunder center Steven Adams.
“It feels way better now than it was two days ago,” Dragic said. “But I’m doing everything that I can. Probably, I’m going to feel it a little bit. But it’s not going to bother me. That’s the only thing that I’m about, I can play through the pain. But as long as it’s not bothering me, I’m OK.
“I’m going to feel it, but it’s not going to slow me down or anything. Even when you play through the game, it’s a lot of adrenaline and basically you don’t feel it.”

Heat point guard Goran Dragic said Philadelphia and Portland are the two loudest NBA arenas in his opinion for road teams. Communicating he says isn’t easy in Philly. So the Heat will rely on hand signals plenty.
“The good news is we already got a good grip on the hand signals,” Dragic said with a smile. “Especially because of my accent, that’s how we usually communicate.”
Dragic, 31, said as loud as Sixers fan get during this series it still won’t be as loud to him as it is playing overseas.
“In Europe they’re crazy,” said Dragic, who led Slovenia to the EuroBasket gold medal this summer. “In Belgrade, in Serbia, those are the loudest place I think in the whole world.”

“They were the same (as in they were in the regular season),” Goran Dragic said. “They just played unbelievably well. They were hitting some shots. They didn’t go away from their game. They were physical the whole game. The catch-and-go shooters were really hot and we just fell apart in the third and fourth quarters.”

Goran Dragic figured he’d see plenty of Robert Covington in the playoffs.
The lengthy Philadelphia 76ers’ forward, and one of the NBA’s best defenders, once again drew the assignment of disrupting Miami’s veteran point guard.
And like most of the Heat’s best scorers during Saturday’s lopsided Game 1, Dragic had a hard time finding any offensive rhythm.
Dragic finished with 15 points, but shot 4 of 14 from the field and 1 of 10 on shots inside the three-point line.

Dragic said during Sunday’s practice he felt the Heat needed to keep moving the ball with more purpose when setting up pick and rolls in order to counter Covington and the Sixers’ ability to keep the Heat from finding open shots.

“We need to run action with purpose not just to have one pick and roll and then the ball stops,” Dragic said. “We need to move the ball and try to get great triggers. We watched the video. When we didn’t get a trigger we were in trouble, we didn’t move the ball well. With their size they kind of forced us to take back shot.”

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra recognizes the difficulty Dragic has against Covington, a fifth-year pro out of Tennessee State who went undrafted in 2013. Covington, who led the NBA with 3.9 deflections per game, is a candidate for the All-Defense team.
“We’re going to try to get him a little more space and get him some opportunities to attack,” Spoelstra said about Dragic. “But they’re pretty committed to containing the paint so we’ll have to make some plays to open guys up and keep their defense honest. We certainly want Goran being aggressive and in spots where he’s comfortable.”
