我能说的是，我会肤浅地告诉你，我认为邓伦是有史以来最性感的中国演员……天哪，作为一个魔尊，他是如此美丽，就像他不是来自这个星球一样。我相信我和半个中国人都喜欢他。

Yang Zi stole the show with her A+ acting she went from the naive and adorably clueless Jin Mi to the mature but hopeless JM who was emotionally and physically hurt after knowing her true feelings. After knowing her feelings she was on a journey to right her wrongs through all the hardships even if her feelings weren’t reciprocated right then which my heart broke for her. I was literally crying my ass off for her which is really rare I usually don’t connect to charcters lol. I especially love how JM isn’t the “kickass” FL but boy she has such a strong charcter where she sticks with what she decides and knows how to distinguish between love and hate. JM isn’t the typical FL that is all powerful, uncaring, or wavering where it’s the ML who has to do all the love and chasing she’s the type that will go after what she wants and the selfless type who will do anything for her loved ones to be happy and safe. I’m offcilaly in the Yang Zi’s amazing acting fan club! <3

Absolutely loved it. It did drag the side character stories. But it was a joy when the main leads were onscreen. After ten miles of peach blossoms I didn’t expect any series to make me bawl but this did. Tried watching other Chinese dramas of similar genre but most of them couldn’t hold my interest. I really enjoyed the novel and the director did complete justice to the story. A definite must watch if you enjoy Asian dramas.

这是我的第一部中国电视剧，我不得不说我印象深刻……它得到了一个简单的10/10评级！你说什么？
从故事到表演，再到打斗，最后到CG，我不得不说，我印象最深（我的第一个想法是在“很久以前”，这是美国制作，它是sh*t）
最佳人物旭凤……爱他！！最佳演技锦觅，虽然有时是一个令人沮丧的角色，因为她在别人的阴谋里就像一个木偶。

这部电视剧对维基的评价是9.8。从字面上看，这是迄今为止中国电视节目的最高收视率。天哪，我为这出戏感到骄傲。

我的朋友开始看这部电视剧。（她还处于剧情的一半），她指出了另一个关于XF的观点，我以前从未想过……所以我想在这里分享它。

My friend start watching this drama.(she is still on halfway of the drama) and she point out another view about XF that I have never thought it before...so I want to share it here.
She said "XF is the most pitiful and lonely person" I was like " Really? Not RY??? Why?"
This was what she said.
Yes. XF get whatever he want but do you realize those are not what he truly wanted. He is the one who has to carry a lot of burden.
He is just a living puppet. As he is the only Legal son of the Emperor, everyone already know that he will be next king. For that reason, not only his parents, everyone must have an expectation on him (Like how they want him to be become) Not only that they will definitely be keeping an eye on him and he has to be careful with every single move . Just how many people surround him might be spy?? He won't even know how to have fun in life.
What make his life even more miserable was having that kind of so called "Empress mother" His childhood must be trauma. The worst thing for a kid is having that kind of mother who control you, demand a lot of from you and give you everything that she think that is good for you in a name of love; even if they are not what you want, you have no choice and forced take it. Not only that she did a lot of bad things that later XF have to clean up all her mess. Additionally, she must has a lot of enemy and those people want to harm XF....With all of those in his life...he might have chose to submit to his fate, living like a puppet, Lifeless... day after day...month after month...(PS: My friend kinda has bad controlling mother so...she knows)
He is obviously Legal Heir but he does not seems to live his life in Luxury with a lot of maids servant...As far as I remember he only have 3 guys...
His is actually a lonely person .......passing his lifeless monotone life...and that was until he fall into someone's trap (because of his mother wrong selfish doing) and met that funny/ Pure little grape who don't even care about his identity and treat him as normal person. May be that was when he fall for her and start seeing colors in his world. (If not, with his personality, how would he bring her to heaven...and she is a girl). She is the reason he decided to change his destiny and seek for his "previously thought impossible" dream...to living a normal happy life away from everything...
And of course RY is pitiful too because he was always alone.....

Glad to see such post. Actually I think it is really the fault of the scriptwriters. I do like the background story of Run Yu and the love story of the demon princess but I do think they occupied a bit too much screen time.
If the run-and-chase plots of the demon princess and Mu Ci were cut in half, we could use the time to dig deeper into the background story of Xu Feng. Like what your friend observed, with so much expectation and "love" from people around him, he did not become a spoiled kid, instead he ran around all the battlefields, gaining fame as the God of War with all kinds of scars over the body. Why? why he chose this road? There is so many things to explore yet nothing were mentioned in the scripts, leaving us a male lead image without much character depth and as someone who only cares about romance. Even the power fighting as the Demon Lord was limited to the minimum - well, storytelling from Lord Puchi....
So pity. It is the biggest issue of the story for me. Well, I still love the drama. All the acting, CGI effects, settings, costumes, etc are on spot.

Well said. I'm super satisfied with the story and character developments in the early and ending episodes. But the middle 10 episodes is a bit lacking for the character developments of both male lead and female lead. Hence the story is not so convincing on their side. On the other side, the Night Deity's story is really well written, therefore so many people like him even when he turns to the dark side. Well, but overall, it is a nice full circle for me. :-)

我认为编剧选择了更多地探索润玉的故事。在实际的小说中，你看不到这两个主要人物的背景故事，因为故事是用第一人称旭凤和锦觅的方式讲述的。我很高兴润玉的背景故事，但是，它使我的人物活得很好。我希望他们也能多探索些旭凤的故事，而不是穗和、扑哧、天后和其他的那些次要的爱情故事。
TBH I think the scriptwriter chose to explore Runyu's story more. In the actual novel, you dont see the background story of neither character since the story was told in first person POV so Jinmi's. I was glad for Runyu's background story tho, it made the character much alive for me. I wish they explored more Xufeng's as well, instead of those subplot love stories of Suihe, Puchi, Empress and what nots..
