During testing the pumps shall be run from minimum to full design speed over the full capacity range from minimum flow to maximum flow at a minimum of 8 or more equally spaced flow increment points including minimum flow and design flow to establish the pump characteristic, power, and efficiency curves. The tests shall be performed using water at the design temperature. The actual NPSH requirements of each pump over the pump operating range shall be determined during pump tests.
