An Ancient Military Song from the State of Qin, China.
Why did you say that there's nothing to wear?
I will take my own cloak for you to share.
The war comes from the great will of our Sire,
Let's make ready the dagger-axe and spear,
We fight against the same foe in warfare.
Why did you say that there's nothing to wear?
I will take my own shirt for you to share.
The war comes from the great will of our Sire,
Let's make ready the long halberd and spear,
We try to heart each other in warfare.
Why did you say that there's nothing to wear?
I will take my own skirt for you to share.
The war comes from the great will of our Sire,
Let's make ready the armour suits and spear,
We move forward together in warfare.
