We planned to transition to a new rewards system with the launch of the new version of Chainpoint. Testing on the new system was completed in July. We met or surpassed our engineering goals. Unfortunately, due to the current regulatory environment, the launch of new software is postponed until further notice.
Without changes to the existing software, rewards will end when the current rewards address is empty. We're still exploring options on how to address this.
Those watching the Tierion and Chainpoint Github accounts have observed that no work has been done on the software that involves the ERC20 token since testing was completed in July. You also might have noticed recent commits about an upcoming version of the Chainpoint proof format. Current development is focused on using Bitcoin Lightning technology. We plan to launch a testnet with the new Lightning based Chainpoint Network in early 2020.
