Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Rene Adler returned to training today, 10 days after suffering a broken rib.
Adler, who will be Germany's number one at the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ this summer, picked up the injury in the recent 2-1 defeat to Stuttgart.
Although he was not thought to be in danger of missing the tournament, his return to training will be a boost to national team boss Joachim Low as well as Bayer in their bid to finish third in the Bundesliga.
It remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old will be fit for Saturday's clash with Hertha Berlin.
"We first have to see how it develops," he said on Bayer's official website.
Coach Jupp Heynckes appeared optimistic, adding: "It looked good, how Rene trained."
