BRAVO: Who’s the better BFF for you, Ashley or your boyfriend Zac?
Hmm, funny question (laughs). Both are mega important in my life. But of course I tell Ash some things I would never tell Zac. That doesn’t mean that I have any secrets from him – but sometimes it’s better to talk with a girl about some topics.
BRAVO: What is so special on your friendship with Ashley?
It’s very hard to find true friends in Hollywood. Most of the girls there are bitchy and crazy. But it’s cool if you have someone who are like you. Ash is totally honest with me. I love her so much.
BRAVO: Do you imagine the first time you met Ashley?
Yes, of course! We were both new at the Disney Channel. Once the Disney Channel crew organized a sport festival. Ashley and I had to run against each other. It was a obstacle race – and I still know that I started running like fury because I didn’t wanted to lose…
BRAVO: And? Did you win?
Yes, I did. And Ashley congratulated me so sweet. And by the way it’s her fault that today people say I’m a fashion queen…
BRAVO: Really? Tell us!
At our first meeting Ashley wore a supercool dress and sparkling shoes. And at this minute I knew: That girl has a sense of fashion! We talked only about clothes – and she awaked my interest in fashion.
BRAVO: Do you both like the same kinds of fashion?
Totally. We often buy the same outfits, but we wear them completely different. I like to mix my clothes or diferrent styles. Ash stays true to one stil. But I am the make-up expert. Meanwhile you could call me Ashley’s personal make-up specialist. I do her make-up for public appearances.
BRAVO: Your new movies, for example “Beastly”, are totally different than “High School Musical”, but Ashley in contrast plays a cheerleader in the TV series “Hellcats” and she’s shooting the High School Musical series spin-off “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” at the moment. Do you think it’s good?
Sure! It’s a funny role. I alwas envied Ashley a little bit because Sharpay is totally crazy and not so brave like Gabriella.
BRAVO: Is there any struggle between you and Ashley because of a filmrole?
Oh no, that would be awful. I would never try to snatch a role from under Ashley’s nose. I would rather waive the role because of her.
BRAVO: You both also never struggle?
Never! Wait: We sometimes have a row about clothes. Sometimes we exchange our outfits. And when I want to wear a certain piece and it’s still in Ashley’s wardrobe I could freak out (laughs).
BRAVO: How far would you go for Ashley?
I think I would do everything for her – because she would also do everything for me! We are like sisters and we protect each other from offenses from the outside. We take care of each other that we both don’t stray from the right path. I support everything she does – even if she’s dying her hair again!
BRAVO: Why does she do that so often?
Ash loves variety. When she’s talking on the phone too much about her hair, then I know she’ll look different when I see her the next time. But that’s just Ashley (laughs)…
