Senna name returns as movie premiers
    3 November 2010

The legendary Senna name will return to the track in Brazil this weekend as Bruno prepares for his first home Grand Prix with Hispania Racing, 16 years after late uncle Ayrton last competed at Interlagos for Williams.
Although the 1994 race may have ended in a spin for Senna, the triple World Champion raced to a couple of memorable and highly emotional victories for McLaren in 1991 and 1993 as well as starting from pole in 1990, 1991 and 1994.
Ayrton Senna picked up his first Interlagos win in 1991
Ayrton Senna picked up his first Interlagos win in 1991
“Interlagos is one of the most popular tracks amongst the drivers and I cannot wait to compete here for the first time this weekend,” Bruno commented on Wednesday. “I’m lucky to receive some fantastic support from fans every time I come home to Brazil and am determined to put on a good performance on Sunday.
“I know that the track has many inclines and will require a lot of power from the car’s engine. It’s renowned as a tough physical race for the drivers, with its anti-clockwise circuit moving the driver’s neck to the left and not the right; however, it’s a challenge that I’m looking forward to.
“Korea was a great result for the team and we are really now starting to show that we can compete at a good level. There are two races to go before the season closes and we all want to finish as strong as possible.”
Prior to Friday’s track action, São Paulo is already enjoying an electric atmosphere ahead of tonight’s world premier of Ayrton Senna: The Movie.

After bad season, Brazilian trio uses thinking last races in 2011
Without much to do in the season, the Brazilian drivers Bruno Senna and Lucas Di Grassi try to use the race at Interlagos to prove to teams that may be useful in 2011. While Di Grassi depends on investors to follow the Virgin, Bruno Senna is in talks with the Lotus, which should be stronger next season and probably will not go running through Hispania.
Guaranteed in the cockpit of Ferrari for another season, Felipe Massa expects the race at Interlagos, having won on two occasions and could become the Brazilian record with three wins, could mark a turning point for next year and remember that has passed through situation to see a teammate and world champion in 2007, when Kimi Raikkonen won, and the following year the Brazilian fought for the title until the last race, losing to Lewis Hamilton.
CHECK THE EXPECTATION OF THE DRIVERS FOR THE BRAZILIAN RACE AT HOME

"For me it will be the first time at Interlagos in a race with a car ready to race, Lucas and Philip have raced here at Interlagos before. It will be a new experience, very special for the first time I run at home. I look forward to see how the reaction of the crowd "
"I think Red Bull still favored to win the championship. They will try to use as much resource you have to let Alonso back, we just know he's capable of doing good things at Interlagos. Red Bull must have more substance to bring to Abu Dhabi "
"For next year I want to be more competitive in a car, you can give me points. I hope to be more consistent and complete. I do not have anything right for next year, my main focus now is to close the championship in a positive way we had two races in a row with my best results "

Bruno Senna had not planned to 2010. Aside from the fact of having entered the F-1, he had an early championship problematic due to the fact of not having done pre-season training and racing during the complicated years. Despite these problems, he feels better about the rider who started the year.
"It was a year super hard for me, we started very late, without a pre-season training. Fortunately we have a reasonable development of the beginning of the year down here. It was a year as a pilot and I grew as a person, am much more complete. I could make my name and start a career in F1, "said the pilot of Hispania, who dreams of following in the category in 2011.
"I hope to be racing again next year. We're talking to some teams and the situation is not easy, especially to enter or remain in F-1, since the priorities are different. There are many people with enough money and then have to chase, since most teams are in need of money from drivers. I hope to have chance to continue, "he explained.
About the Interlagos circuit, Senna will debut it in competitions and he does not hide his admiration for the relief of the route offers the contestants.
"I'm crazy to walk at Interlagos. All riders enjoy racing here. I know that the track is undulating in places, close to the patterns of F-1. Here you up and down enough and the drivers like that. Flat track is a bit dull and I'm eager to test the Orange Dive and it will be extremely challenging for our car and try to get our best result in years. A 13th place would be special for us, "he said.
About the title race, Bruno suggests that that in his opinion is the favorite to get the cup.
"Who has the advantage is Alonso. He is having a sensational championship final. If Alonso has a consistent race in Abu Dhabi, it will be the champion. "

Bruno Senna: “Interlagos will be quite emotional…”
Bruno Senna says he’s looking forward to competing in the Brazilian GP for the first time, at a track where his uncle Ayrton Senna was so revered by the home crowd.
Senna has never raced in his home country, having started his career in the UK.
“Interlagos will be quite emotional,” he told this blog. “The big build-up for me is in myself. It’s going to be the first time in my life that I’m going to race at home. I never did any competitive racing in Brazil – nothing.
“I’ve been to the Grand Prix in the last few years, but it’s not the same thing. You’re not on the grid. Rubens told me it’s a great ambience when you’re driving in Interlagos, it’s really, really special.
“I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be tough, because the Brazilian supporters are very demanding, so they expect you to take the car that finishes last on the grid and take a pole or get a win if it’s wet, which is not very realistic! But nonetheless it’s going to be a great experience, for sure.”
Although he was successful in GP2 Senna says his fame in Brazil has grown massively since the start of this season.
“When you go into F1, especially in your own country, people know you. Even if you’re not in the front, people will know you, because F1 is such a popular sport in Brazil. I think now people have been aware of me for the whole year, so going to Brazil at the end of it is quite busy.”

Bruno Senna is pleased to debut at Interlagos
            November 5, 2010
Bruno Senna assessed as positive the first time at Interlagos. On Friday, the pilot of Hispania debuted on the circuit in São Paulo that gave glory to his uncle Ayrton and was satisfied with his performance, despite having achieved only 23 th place in both free practice sessions for the GP of Brazil Formula 1.
"Yes, I think it was really cool," summed up Bruno Senna, who made his best lap in 1min16s070 during the second session. At first, it was the 24th and last place with a mark 1min17s360. "We changed the floor and did some experiments means improbable that just working. The car returned to normal (in the second session) and now give me more confidence."
Bruno Senna shows apprehension when speaking of what can happen on Saturday when the weather forecast indicates rain. "I think the rain will set everything tomorrow (Saturday). If the runway is wet, it will be another difficulty for me because I never walked here in these conditions," said the pilot of Hispania. "Anyway, I'll keep looking to concentrate on my work and me trying to keep ahead of teammate (the Austrian Christian Klien)."
NERVOUSNESS - Bruno Senna only expressed exasperation on Friday when he spoke of his possible transfer to Lotus next season. "It has nothing to do. It's ridiculous speculation. Announce that does not exist. It's bad for the job, because I'll look silly when I talk to other teams," said the pilot.

Hispania Racing - Brazilian GP Preview
Hispania Racing, HRT F1 Team, ready to carry on achieving positive results in Brazil.
With only two races left, the Formula 1 Championship heads off to the Autodromo José Carlos Pace in Interlagos, one of the most exciting and defiant tracks on the calendar. Situated on the outskirts of Sao Paulo city, the region is located between two large artificial lakes, the Guarapiranga and the Billings, built in the early 20th century to supply water and electric power to the city. The 4.309 km lap is a physical challenge for the drivers, who have to race anti-clockwise, like in Turkey and Singapore, on a bumpy surface that causes major vibrations in the car. The high altitude of the track and the low air density will drop the engine’s power a bit and make it difficult for everyone. The grandstands are always full of Brazilian enthusiastic fans as it’s always one of the most expected races of the season.
              Bruno Senna, Race driver #21:
“I’m really looking forward to the Brazilian GP and it is going to be my first time competing at home. I haven’t driven with a proper race car in Interlagos, but I know the circuit by heart and it’s very challenging. Interlagos has mostly medium to low speed corners and is anti-clockwise, apart from being bumpy in places. So, the car needs to be suited to the bumps and long radius corners of the circuit. It’s going to be a special race weekend for me and I hope to achieve my best result of the season! I hope the crowd will give away great energy and support to me and the Brazilian drivers.”
