Of all the Jelena rumors we’ve been hearing lately, we’re taking this one with the biggest grain of salt. That said, reports are circulating that One Direction member Niall Horan has had his eyes on Selena Gomez since she dumped Justin Bieber — even though they may not be over after all.
Hollywood Life reports that Niall, 18, has been pursuing Selena, 20, ever since she’s been single. (Or semi-single, as it were.) “Selena thinks Niall is very cool and finds his Irish accent really sexy,” a source said. “They’ve been chatting to each other on her private Facebook account and [they] text each other. There’s a real spark between them. They both lead busy lives but Selena would love to get together with Niall next time they’re in the same country.”
Here’s where it gets fuzzy. Selena and Justin reportedly reunited, or at least had a slumber party, earlier this week. Add to that the fact that Niall was getting flirty with Selena’s pal Demi Lovato, and things get messy. And that’s not the only reason this would be screwed up.
Justin is good friends with the guys in One Direction, and he’s particularly close with the adorbs Irishman. Could you imagine the teen pop drama this would cause? We’re not fully buying this one — at least not until Justin and Selena call it quits once and for all — though it would certainly make Biebs jealous again.
