There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend.. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, If I could only see the world, I will marry you.
有一位瞎女很讨厌自己因为眼睛瞎了。她也讨厌每个人，唯一不讨厌的是她的男朋友，因为他都常守在她身旁。於是她对她的男朋友说：「如果能让我看到这个世界，我愿意嫁给你！」
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.
有一天，有人捐了一对眼精给她。当纱布解开时，她能够看到一切，包括她的男朋友。
He asked her, 'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.
男朋友问她：「现在你可以看到这世界，你愿意嫁给我吗？」那女孩看了男朋友是个瞎子，他那对盖上眼皮的眼睛吓到了她，这是她无法想像。她想：要我嫁给他而一生
对着他这个样子，我无法接受。
Her boyfriend left in tears and days ater wrote a note to her saying:
Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'
於是，她的男朋友很伤心的离开她，几天后写了字条给她：「亲爱的，请你好好照顾你的眼睛，因为它不是属於你的之前，它是属於我的。」
This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.
这也是人的脑会如何做当情况有所变动。只有少许人会记得他或她之前的生活及谁会在身旁当他或她处在困境的时候
