I agree with you. He made everyone he played so real. I really think he was the person in every drama he was in. Vic once said each role he played was part of him in real life. I saw the part that he doesn't like to be in the spot light in ZhiTian (Sweet Relationship). I saw the part that he was shy away from people in Lele (Wishing to see you). I saw the naughty side of him in PiZi (Black & White).
