Haller??!!! Heart Evangelista isn't for Cho Chang's role! I'm definitely against it for several reasons:

1.Heart is older than Harry for say... 6-8 years??? Heart is 20+ years old while Dan is only 15.
2. "She tried too hard to speak with a Brit accent."
3. She's a filipino chinese girl. She doesn't have brit blood, unlike Katie Leung
4. Can you imagine Heart kissing Dan on the 5th installment movie? It would be like a 40 year old grandma kissing her 5 year old grandson.
AND lastly...
5. Heart can't have it all. She may be pretty, talented, and intelligent, but she's not perfect. No one in this world can be perfect.

I am really envious of her lol but I reckon she'd make quite a good Cho. I think it's quite mean when people slag her off for her looks but I think she needs to prove herself acting wise. I'm 15 years old and Chinese and I live in England but for some reason, I was not aware when the open auditions were and I am totally gutted. It has been my ambition to become Cho so I am very very upset.

To be honest... I am VERY disappointed on how the movie version of Cho Chang looks like. Rowling kept describing her as "very pretty" and how do they expect us to believe that she is pretty when they picked an average-looking girl? I look at her and think, "THAT'S the girl who gets to be involved in a love triangle with Cedric and Harry, who gets asked out by Roger Davies and eventually goes out with Michael Corner?" 0_o I had rather high expectations for her.

I'm Asian (not Chinese, mind you)and I have seen way prettier Chinese girls than Katie. Sure maybe her acting skills are good but would it KILL Warner Bros to find a pretty girl WITH acting skills? I guess it's either one or the other. But I'll be damn pissed if Katie's acting sucked...

Despite this rather mean rant, I wish her good luck. She'll need it.

ok well bad marketing for the movie b/c it seems that for the pubescent crowd that this movie markets to is PINING to "see" and criticize the outcome of what this asian girl looks like. Personally, I think the producers should have saw that and found more glamorous girl (But that's to make more money). I'm assuming they weren't that stupid and opted to go with better acting skills than a pretty face. Also, maybe she's convincing in her part or she has a nice smile. Whatever it is, it got to the producers. THink about it.

Leung certainly didn't look like how I imagined Cho Chang to be. She wasn't ugly but she really wasn't pretty at all. I live in America and I'm wondering how many Asian girls are there even in tke UK? Like three? Just kidding. Oh well, I know I shouldn't be quick to judge and her talents as an actress was probably a big factor that influenced the casting people's decision.

I personally think Kristin Kreuk would be the perfect Cho Chang, but she's too old and she's not British =(

There are like two pictures of this 16 year old girl. You can't really tell what she looks look. She's not stunning but she looks like she could be cute.

Okay, we're a bit late on this, but in May the BBC reported that Katie Leung, a sixteen year old girl from Scotland, has been picked to play Cho Chang in the next Harry Potter movie.

Our sympathies to the many, many, many young actresses who have been pining for a shot at the role. If it's any condolence, they apparently only auditioned kids in Great Britain. Here's a page from the BBC with online auditions from some of those British hopefuls.

If she got the part, she must be really good. But she is a very minor character. I don't think people should make a deal over one person. Why do so many people want to kiss Daniel Radcliffe and why do so many people want to be Cho Chang???It's weird. I'm Korean, and I read the books ,but geez c'mon. I think she will be good. She has pretty lips like Angelina Jolie. I also think her acting ability will really shape how she looks. A true actress should act because she enjoys being someone they're not and not just to be famous and for attention and for money.They also love to perform and they don't care how much money they earn. They live and breath for performing. Back then in the middle ages, actors were called players and they were poor, but they loved to perform. To me, to do quality films like independent films is a lot more important than movies like Harry Potter.You might even be seen as an actor than a just a famous person like Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, Meryl Streep etc,. and You might even be nominated for oscar or have your film in Sunset film festival or something like that. And actors with a lot of money i hope don't live empty lives only for themselves, It hope they donate a lot of money to help others like cancer foundations and AIDs and stuff like that.
