因为学语法背单词挺枯燥，打游戏看小说同时学哈哈。
英文名：游戏、小说、剧名 the Witcher
中文名：游戏、小说、电视剧《巫师》/《猎魔人》
请不要用 “没必要那么认真，没必要那么严谨“ 的态度来回帖。
认真一点。才能学会其中的用法和语法规则。

几个提问
1. 动名词的用法. The outsider curled up on the spot, throwing the pockmarked man off balance
throwing 我这里很容易理解为outsider 把 pocked man 给 throw 了。但仔细想想不是。 Ing的英法可以讲一下么。
2. the other writhing and convulsing in a dark, 另一个人在黑暗中扭动抽搐。为什么是in a dark 不是in the dark 。
3. spreading puddle 是习惯用法吗？字面意思：扩张着的水坑。中文版小说翻译：“变大的血泊” 这里多少有点绕。英文有这种拐弯的表达，我感觉不好懂。
4. caught hisbreath, 中文版小说给出的翻译（这个肯定是人工翻译的啦）“带回了他的呼吸，“感觉这个翻译的很好因为符合情节。”吓傻了的老板已经忘记呼吸被一声尖叫才大吸一口气。感觉符合逻辑。”
但不知到这个翻译是否正确 . 毕竟 caught his breath . 字面就是 “抓到了他的呼吸”

:文中又大量的ing 说实话理解意思。但不懂用法
grabbing him by the shoulder 这个不懂
throwing the pockmarked 这个讲过了
remaining customers （这个是做形容词）
his lips trembling 这个不懂决定要是 lips were trembling
who, clinging with his fingers 这个不懂 who was？
was slowly sinking from sight 这个过去进行时
The other two were （be动词） lying on the floor, one motionless, the other writhing and convulsing in a dark, spreading puddle.
所以根据前面的be动词were 所有后面的spreading puddle 是排比的一部分其实就是 the other two were spreading puddle?
A woman’s hysterical scream vibrated in the air, piercing the ears as the innkeeper shuddered, caught his breath, and vomited.
piecing 前面没有被动词是省略了？
